I recently had my a/c compressor and dryer replaced and after the work (not sure if it was instantly or a few days later) the vette started telling me to service active handling and service traction control.
Is there maybe a wire that was left unplugged during the a/c compressor install.
I doubt both active handling and traction control would go out at the same time unless they are tied to the same computer or something like that.
Anyway, any ideas or information would help before I go and take it to the chevy dealer.

yes the codes throw simultaneously. Sometimes goes into reduced power mode also, depending on what is wrong.
I have the same problem as you, I'm thinking from what I've read thus far that perhaps my steering position sensor is intermittently bad as I only get it part of the time. I've never went into reduced power mode.
I cant believe nobody here on the forum has any idea what may cause this to occur....?? We got three people here with the same problem so it must be a fairly common message......Mine is intermitent which tells me something is just not reading right.....Anyone got any clues..??
Mine are C1228 H, C1235 H C, C1288 H... but it may be a little different than before as C1235 H C was added from a bad wheel bearing, fresh out of the box... looks like C1228 H is also from my bad wheel bearing. So that leaves C1288 H, my research thus far points towards a bad steering sensor. Most people get C1287 H and C1288 H at the same time though, if that really matters? Here a link to pulling and decoding the faults. I haven't gone into depth of replacing the steering sensor, but from what I hear it is a $60 part that can be installed in under 3 hours by dropping the steering column.
You might check the connection at the brake control module. To change the compressor you have to remove the water pump and it could have been unplugged or unseated during the process.
If you more info needed get codes and post this in the tech.section.

You could have a loose wire or an open wire caused by the compressor removal. Both AH and TC are functions of the ABS system and can't cause a reduced power message although a fault that generates a reduced power message can also generate the Service AH/TC messages.
Check your codes to see what failures are showing as that may localize the problem. As somebody mentioned make sure the connector to the EBCM is securely fastened. There are a couple of grounds you can check also. The EBCM ground is under the battery while the BPMV ground is on the drivers side frame rail at the front of the windshield washer reservoir.
I took my 2002 to the dealer last week with: service active handling/service ABS/ service traction control messages. I got the code three times, but they cleared with start up. Mostly got them on turns, but it happened once while on cruise at 70.
The dealer replaced the front left sensor hub assembly the left rear sensor hub assembly. The codes show intermittent short in one speed sensor and a open short in the other.
