Default Saw a C6 Z today

Have seen some here and there in my neighborhood but they were always moving (in the other direction) well today I followed a silver one into a parking lot and spoke with the owner..........
WOW!!!! What a nice car..........it was silver and I got to tell ya the silver looks very good on this car.............could end up as my favorite.
The 1st time I saw one was a fun fest 2005............at that time I was a bit disapionted with it at that time I supose because I was "hoping for more" with all the hype. My bigest disapiontment I think came from the lack of the FRC style, it looked too much like the C6. But after having the C6 body style starting to grow on me, and seeing a new Z's here and there on the road, I was impressed to see this one as far as how clean the car looks............didn't seem to have the poor workmanship of missaligned body work and so forth that seems plauge our beloved C5Z's.

Good thing the price is so much higher than what I can afford right now, it keeps me from trading in my 03 Z..............I fantisize about being able to keep my Z when it comes time for me to get the new one.

I gota say though that silver looked very nice with all the silver accents that are on the interior..............and I know it's got to be easier to keep clean than Black....

Hats off to those being able to enjoy the new Z's

Me, too.

On Sunday I saw a C6 Z in Machine Silver with, I think, the polished wheels.

God was it beautiful. Seemed to have a special kind of class. 'Course, I'm partial.

I agree with you. The car is amazing and it grows on you by the day. The only thing keeping me from owning one is the price , but given the chance to, I'm in there like bellevidere.. Maybe in another year.

Sat in one on Saturday, now I want one. It is a nice car but I still like my C5 Z. I am on the fence and am afraid if I drive it with the 427 I will be moving on to a C6. I don't like the looks though it is growing on me.

I drove one before I bought my C5Z. It's fast, yes, but it handles the power so well chassis, suspension, and computer wise that it doesn't feel that awesome. But if you watch the speedo you know you're moving! It's definitely the most deceptively fast car I have driven. Too bad I'm so poor.

I think you are exactly right. silver on the C6 Z by far shows off the lines of the car better than any other color. I took an extended drive with it sans sales person. It's a hot ride for sure.

problem is, it's still got that funky rear end that makes me hurl everytime I see it. I just can't get past it. I've been trying for 2 years since the C6 base model came out.

Now, I've been known to buy an ugly car based purely on performance(1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II), but the C6 Z is not a "quantum leap" in performance from the C5 Z(at least not the way I have my C5 Z outfitted )

but you can't argue with the numbers on this car. with every car mag that comes out, the C6 Z is clearly beating all comers from anywhere in the world. great news for the engineering department. It does make you proud to be a vette owner, seeing that the future of the marque seems safe from a performance standpoint.

I still love my C5Z but I think I have to look into a C6Z. That 427 engine is magical in Corvettes old and new. Problem is, I want both of them

Ran Mid Ohio last Friday with my 03 Z06. Track was a little damp in the morning as we had some mist but it was very hot and sunny by the afternoon. I was grouped with many Ferrari's as well as two Lamborghini's and except for the Ferrari 430's and Lamborghini Diablos, no other car could keep up with the Z.

A young guy in in a beautiful new yellow(best color!) C6 Z06 wiped out the passenger side of his car on a tire wall in turn one. Very, very sad..... we all felt terrible for him!

I have a pic of the damage but don't know how to post them on the forum. E-mail me if you'd like to see it.
