Headlight giving up...

Headlight giving up...
First the other day I realized my left light wasn't flipping up, so I flipped it on and off multiple times and it came up. Since then it hasn't given me any problems, until trying to close it today. After closing it sounds like the motor is continuing to try and close for like 5 seconds or so. 
Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like the headlight gear needs to be replaced. Many threads on here about it. I replaced mine with Rodney Dickmans. http://www.rodneydickman.com/retail_new.html
