Guys and Gals, the steering wheel on my '02Z has started "moaning" while turning... sounds like something inside is rubbing. Any pointers before I go tearing into it?
Any better pix of where this point of lubrication is located??
I wish someone would post a better picture...........this is a frequent complaint about this particular "Tech Tip", and I have the same problem. I purchase the can of lithium grease, but am waiting for a better picture / description of exactly where the grease goes, before I go squirting it all over the steering column.
The tech tip says the lower bearing... are there two bearings, one high (near the steering wheel) and one low (near the firewall)? How much disassembly is required? Just removal of the knee bolster plate, or does the column need to be removed?
I already have a nice can of white lithium grease, I just need to know where to squirt it!
