I've had these for a couple years now and love them. However, I'm going to be getting the Michelin's next time as I've heard they are a bit better.

I went to tirerack.com and plugged in some tires I was looking at. Below the tires are some bar graphs suggesting ratings of various things as noise levels, wear, traction, etc. I chose the Michelins PS2's using the graph. It helped me decide what fit my needs.

I did the same thing here too. I have been a member of Costco for a long time and they were great putting my C-5 on the lifts and did an awesome job, very professional technicians. I even waited for the $60.00 Michelin Tire discount in the Costco "Passport to Savings".

How many miles do you guys have on the Michelins? I thinking about going with them but I read a couple of reviews that said the Michelins were as noisy as the Goodyears after about 10,000 miles. Just wondering if that was true with yours.

Folks,

I used two sets of Goodyears and one set of Firestones on my '98 Coupe. Each set had 32,000 to 34,000 miles wear, but the Firestones were quieter!

I used to original set of Goodyears with a bit over 32,000 miles wear on my '03 Vert. Then I have used one set of Michelins with 33,000 miles wear. The Michelins handle just as good as the Goodyears, BUT the Michelins are MUCH QUIETER than the Goodyears!! Another C5 owner drove my '03 and she also said the Michelins are quiter than her Goodyears on her '04 Coupe. In fact, I am getting ready to put the NEXT set of Michelins for the '03.

Also, the Michelins are about $30 LESS than Goodyears!

Got any questions...email me!

How often does this type of discount come around at Costco?

I just put on Kumhos and am very pleased with them. Much less noise and improved ride. Haven't had them long enough to give any wear data.

I'd recommend the Firestone Firehawks. I really like them on my car.

Definitely not, plenty of us run with non runflat tires. I've used both and prefer the non runflat because I get a much better ride and far less noise.

They have been available as a runflat for awhile now. The 275/18s are selling for $414.00 ea right now at Tire Rack. The sizes available are very limited though.
