The 650 also lacks an AC Adapter for charging the unit when it is out of the vehicle. Because I intended to also use mine for sight-seeing this was important, I wanted to be able to charge it each night in the motel room.
For the price difference between the two, the 660 is actually a better deal when you consider the lack of an AC Adapter.
The 660 is great if you wish the traffic monitor, Bluetooth and FM transmitter (although, many reviews I have read says the transmitter does not work well in large metropolitran areas due to the large number of regular FM stations). The 660 is a great GPs , no doubt about it. However, if you don't need those items, except for them, the 650 is identical, but, as Craig mentioned, lacks an AC adapter accessory. I just ordered a Garmin 650 Nuvi, from www.Shipdog.com for $433.00, shipped to my door. I then went on EBAY and picked up an 110 VAC to 12 VDC converter plug for $5.50 ($0.51 + $4.99 shipping ). There's a ton of them on there for about that price. Best Buy gets almost $20 for an identical one. Anyway...so, I can just plug this small AC converter into the wall and plug my 12VDC cord and plug, from the car, into it. More than one way to skin a cat! I'm pleased.

Just received my NUVI 660 this afternoon and the first thing I did was sinc up my phone with it and made sure it worked. Ya, and my phone book in now on my Garmin and that will be nice while in the car. Will see how this famed units does for driving now
