don't know about the A4, but my 03 Z06 was DEFINITELY vinyl on both boots and bolsters.
No leather boot on a 6 speed shifter?
BTW...the outside bolsters on each of my seats(a section of them) is vinyl and the inside bolsters(a section of the bolsters) are some kind of material fine mesh because they don't wear out because of rubbing the console like leather does

The back of the boots were the reverse side (and black) of the cheap leather Chevy used. The reverse side of the seat skins, other than the seating surfaces, were white synthetic material glued to the vinyl.

weird, mine are white. Nice to know the top of the line vette got vinyl and coupes got leather
Na...its something more like a nylon material...its not felt
I haven't seen my original seat skins since I sold them in January 2005, but I remember the side touching the tranny tunnel being like a corduroy material. As I write this post it occurred to me that Chevy probably used different suppliers who interpreted the specs differently than each other.
