Have 01 with 10,000 miles need a change bought magnaflows with x pipe, knn cold intake, granatelli MAFS & bbk 80mm what H.P. should i get & should i add a programer
Maybe 10-15rwhp - depending on the tune. 15rwhp would be on the high end, IMHO.
I've got a Blackwing, Corsa pace car cat back and the Dynatech Super Maxx set up with cats. It was 311 rwhp before the tune and 323 after. The tuner said his is set up is very conservative. Don't expect large gains without doing heads and a cam. This was done on a LS1 with a A4. David

I dont think I would waste the money on a tune until you do a H/C swap. MHO not worth the money for the gain, and you will want more power after anyways.
Cat-back exhaust does nothing for HP, it is for the 'sound' that you do these...you want gains, you need to toss some headers on it...and don't mess with those shorty's either, go long tube or your just wasting money. A cam and heads are where you will start getting serious gains...a good tuner tweaking the car will be the cheapest and easiest HP gains you will ever get. EnglandGreen will be able to tell you what works and will not be worth the time, he does this stuff for a living, and has a stellar reputation, even way out here in Texas!

forget the power programmer...find a trust worthy tuner and let them customize your tune. personally, i think the programmers are a waste of money...getting a specific tune for the car will probably be a little cheaper and a lot better in the long run.
scrap the granatelli mfs its nothing but trouble stick with the oem one. if you want to gain with h/c package or supercharger get long tube headers and a tune and youll get 35-40 rwhp gains that what i got with my long tubes (lgm street series) and bpp vortex cai and my street/dyno tune at ecs (great guys). the other crap is just bs. brad
You will get nothing from the x-pipe and exhaust.. except for a different sound..(better).. Nothing from the MAFS or 80mm T Body except for better throttle response.. This mod does not really increase power until you get into heads and a cam.. The K&N cold air will get you around 10 rwhp.. Maybe 1-2 from the exhaust if any.. Total of 12 horsepower at best.. I've been there and done that.. England Green and tellefan are right on the money. I think 15rwhp is stretching it.. Maybe with a tune. You will need to add a good set of Long Tube Headers ( not shorties) and tune to your current list of mods to realisticly see 30-40 rwhp

But think 30 (+/- 1 or 2 maybe) would be about it.
This combination gave me 30:
Blackwing
Z06 intake
Kooks LTs w/cats and x, Corsa cat back.
Tune
I agree with others on the Granatelli MAF. Forget it.
yeah, but if he went with the fast he could push it closer to 40 although from what I'm hearing it makes little difference in acceleration times, while a vararam doesn't make a huge difference in dyno numbers it does decrease acceleration times quite a bit. but either way I think he could get close to 40.
