Hellow corvette lovers !This is my first time using the forum. my question is I just bought a 2002 convertable yellow, black top and it shows rub or shinney spots on the top from being folded down . Does anyone have any advice ?? thanks
Welcome to the forum. My Light Oak top has similar but, dark marks on the fabric from the folding/unfolding process as well. There is a product called "Raggtop" discussed here on the forum. I believe that is their website as well. Many forum members have extolled the benefits of the Raggtop treatement. Oh and by the way.......Do Not Post such tempting descriptions of your C-5 without including pictures! If you are really concerned about the "shiny" areas on the black top,(I might get flamed here for this remark) but you might try a real light buffing of a VERY VERY fine grit (600 or higher) of a Wet/Dry abrasive to dull the shiny areas. That is what I would try. You just want to remove the "reflective" nature of the fabric. Good Luck and be sure and post pictures next time.
BTW, to post pictures use a "www.photobucket.com" free account and then clip and paste the IRL link!

Everyone I know has had this prob at one time (read early in ownership) Do the RaggTop kit, follow the instructions to the "T" and your top will look like brand new! Twice a year does the trick for me.
