It's personal taste - some think the car looks incomplete without them, but others think they look ugly. I have them, but I think they cheapen the appearance of the car and they'll be coming off. Not too many high dollar sports cars have bsms.
As for adding black bsms to silver, ask someone to photochop it for you first, and see if you like it.
BSM is a taste thing. My buddy in his yellow Z06 used to freak over mine saying how awful it was. My wife absolutely loves it. Me that one item im indifferent to, and I don't want to argue with my wife who's ALWAYS right
I don't know why you would want to draw attention to an item most of us remove.
Here we go again with the Body Side Molding ****'s. It's a matter of personal taste. Some like them, some don't. Recently, there was a poll on CF about BSM's. Of the 161 respondents, 82 of them (50.93%) LIKED them, 26 of them (16.15%) DIDN'T CARE, and 53 of them (32.92%) DIDN'T LIKE them.
So, it would seem that MOST people either like them, or don't have a preference. If you personally do not like them, then don't put them on your car. Or, you could respond to every BSM mention with inaccurate information.
The BSM issue is interesting. I've never seem someone with BSM's insulting a vette without BSM's. Nor have I seen people who like BSM's on a mission to convince others to add them to their cars. What I have seen is a small group of people (certainly in the minority) who consistently bash BSM's and try to convince people they will somehow be the subject of ridicule if their car has BSM's. It's a curious contrast.
I happen to like the painted fascia look. But what do I know, I'm one of those so-called morons who actually likes those ugly, non-factory, heinous, nefarious body side moldings!!
