Just put black rims on my vert. I like the look, kind of the drapes now match the carpet….

What do you guys thing of adding black Body Side Molding? Anyone else have pictured of unmatched BSM to car color?

I don't know why you would want to draw attention to an item most of us remove.

What's the reason you remove them?

It's personal taste - some think the car looks incomplete without them, but others think they look ugly. I have them, but I think they cheapen the appearance of the car and they'll be coming off. Not too many high dollar sports cars have bsms.

As for adding black bsms to silver, ask someone to photochop it for you first, and see if you like it.

Maybe instead of doing that, consider paintiing the rear facia black, & or putting the small black decal stripes on the hood.

BSM is a taste thing. My buddy in his yellow Z06 used to freak over mine saying how awful it was. My wife absolutely loves it. Me that one item im indifferent to, and I don't want to argue with my wife who's ALWAYS right

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what is the rear fascia?

Thought about the two stripes on the drivers fender. Where on the hood would the stripes go?

Here we go again with the Body Side Molding ****'s. It's a matter of personal taste. Some like them, some don't. Recently, there was a poll on CF about BSM's. Of the 161 respondents, 82 of them (50.93%) LIKED them, 26 of them (16.15%) DIDN'T CARE, and 53 of them (32.92%) DIDN'T LIKE them.

So, it would seem that MOST people either like them, or don't have a preference. If you personally do not like them, then don't put them on your car. Or, you could respond to every BSM mention with inaccurate information.

The BSM issue is interesting. I've never seem someone with BSM's insulting a vette without BSM's. Nor have I seen people who like BSM's on a mission to convince others to add them to their cars. What I have seen is a small group of people (certainly in the minority) who consistently bash BSM's and try to convince people they will somehow be the subject of ridicule if their car has BSM's. It's a curious contrast.

Some people paint the lower rear section of their cars (fascia) black. Here is a discussion thread with pictures: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...t=black+fascia

http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...86/fascia9.jpg

I happen to like the painted fascia look. But what do I know, I'm one of those so-called morons who actually likes those ugly, non-factory, heinous, nefarious body side moldings!!

Take your after photo, a black felt pen and draw a line down the side.
I'm thinking it won't be a good look.

I happen to LOVE my BSM's but don't think that it would look right having black ones on your sliver Vette
