Looks like Friday is shaping up to be the day I take delivery of my 04 CE. I'll also be doing the first test drive, did a test ride last time. I've done a lot of research on here, but anything in particular I should focus on for last minute items? I noticed the tire sensor was on in the first ride, owner mentioned it stayed on until the tires warm up?
It has the original warranty until Oct, I've got an email in to Dennis for a GMPP. Any items I should check out before the warranty is up? I'm 98% certain I'll be doing the extended anyway, but just in case.
Besides the usual key fobs etc is there anything in particular I should make sure to get (ie targa top removal wrench-throwing that out there from the C4 days) just an example. I'm always trying to overturn every stone, but that is me and also my job!
Owners manual, the video (if they had one, I got one with my '01), the original 04 sales brochure that comes with every new Vette, the Window Stick is a BIGGIE! Get that.

Best of luck to you!
NO Video on 04 I sure wish it had one.. We had a really cool one with the 96 C4 that had Jeff Gordon in it on a test track with Dave Hill. Made you want to go out a spin the tires around the block

I never had ours do that. You might want to check with the dealer about that one. Only time tire senor should come up is if one of the tires are to low and when you drive it the heat in the tire builds the tire pressure up to get past the low mark in the monitoring system OR you have a bad tire sensor on the car. IMHO.
PS: Post some pictures.. I've really enjoyed the C5 CE we bought. Had it just over 3 years now and it's been alot of fun.

As for the Tire Pressure Sensor - if the tire pressure is set above a minimum number (30 psi is recommended) you should not see a Tire Pressure Sensor indicator light.
Other than that, do the obvious overall check, no cracked rocker panels, no obvious signs of abuse, etc.
Congrats to a fellow CE owner!!! It's no big deal about the window sticker. You can order one from the Corvette Museum. Please post pics when you get it. You're gonna love it!!! David
We first saw a CE in person at H+H, but this is a private seller. They had some nice cars at H&H, at the time I wasn't considering an auto which is pretty much all they had. Ironically the CE was the one car in 6 spd if I recall, but it was quite a bit of difference in price. This one has 9800 miles so I should be all set.
