Default Help me find a new automatic shift ****

Please! I'm kinda tired of the stock C5 automatic shift **** mainly because the button really irritates the palm of my hand so I'm looking for something like this MOMO (not sure this will fit a C5)

any suggestions?

If you look in the CF classifieds, someone recently had the adapter that allows you to mount any after market **** to the a/t lever. You might have to scroll though a few pages of recent ads. Those are also available through site supporting vendors like PFYC, ZIP, MID-AMERICA, etc. The vendors are shown on the main menu page, column to the left.
You use this adapter to mount any C5/Z06 type **** (9/16-18). This image is from forum supporting vendor EXTREME MOTORSPORTS for about $50.00 not including the ****...

The problem is the button, it sticks up and irritates the palm of the hand. Need something that's more flush like the button on the Momo.

Someone posted the installation of that MOMO **** here in the forum. It does fit with some modification; as I recall, you must cut some of the plastic so the **** could fit flush.

I have the same one as PUNISHER'S, only in chrome finish...they don't make it in chrome anymore. Probably because the damned thing gets so hot, it will burn you. I have to put a rag or a hat over it while it is parked on a sunny day, or it will blister my hand.

You can use this kit with a shiftball from flameball.com They have lots of different styles. They make auto shifters too. I have a shift ball from them for my 01 Z06. It looks like you are staring at the universe. Its really My older brother has an 8 ball in his 99 Z28.

Good luck finding something you like!!!

If you don't mind me asking....why would you need to rest your palm on an automatic shift ****? I have an automatic myself, and I never rest my palm on it.

Just habit. I've always done this, I've tried to break myself of it but haven't been successful. Besides, at times I like to shift to 3rd, so the hand is already in position.
Maybe I should just buy a Z06
