I've got the Pace's and the Bassani X-pipe..........I have about 10,000 miles on them.........I think that the idle sounds about the same as at install, but the WOT is much more...."ripping" sounding...more "metallic" more......"can you hear me in the next county??" than 10,000 miles ago.
Try going through your favorite tunnel with your top off and the windows down. slow down if you can to 1st or 2nd gear and floor it. I'll bet you will be surprised at how loud they are OUTSIDE of the car.

I've got the Paces and the corsa x. The x really doesn't make them louder so much as it smoothes out the sound and eliminates annoying pops and gurgles.
I agree that with more driving time the sound does tend to work into its groove.

Are you SURE you got the Pace Car's? There is no way that any Touring system is any way near as loud or louder than the Pace's....perhaps the one you heard had headers too, as that will make the exhaust quite a bit louder....
No, the X-pipe is not going to contribute to volume much if at all. It WILL smooth out the idle pulses and get rid of the "motorboat" sound at idle and the "popping" sounds some folks don't like on decelleration.

Touring should not be as loud as the pace, but its not really quiet either. Corsa is a bit tamer than some of the exhausts out there, its still a nice product. Coming from someone who loves his SLP Loudmouths, I have heard some nice sounds from the Pace at WOT. This is the most popular exhaust out there. Perhaps there is a build defect?

Yes, I think as you drive the car more and get more miles on it the mufflers will sound better. My B&Bs sound better to me now than when I first bought them.

i love the sound of my new pace car exhaust, just want slightly louder. All of my magnaflows have gotten louder in the past with use, so i wondering if this was the same with corsa.
