Default Keyfob question????

I installed a new battery in my 98 and now the keyfob will not work. Is there a reprogram procedure for this? Will not lock/unlock or pop the trunklid. Worked perfectly before I changed the battery. Thanks.

Could be a coincidence with the car battery repalcement.

I just had a key fob go bad and thought it was the battery in the fob. Opened it up and found that the battery terminal ring had broken lose from the circuit board - the fob is history but should be a warranty item.

Pulled the fob apart and everything is perfect inside. Very strange. Let me clarify, I changed the AC/Delco battery in the car not the fob. Now no remote locking from the fob. Worked before car battery change now doesn't.

So I guess you got it working again. Lots of good info in the owners manual.
