Well my car is acting up again, I have been checking the grounds that I can find, I am wondering about the fuel filter being in the tank, my car has a 02/03 build date. Had the car up i n the air and didn't see a filter by the tranny sooo, how hard is it to change??
I was under the impression that the fuel filter/regulator was located on the frame rail, under the drivers seat, up 'til 2003.5. From 2003.5 forward the filter/regulator was located inside of the left fuel tank.
mine is new enuff its in the tank, think I will suck the tank dry, get some sea foam and see if it will clean out the filter. I am not sure what else to try, I am getting no codes. It will sit and idle sometimes, other times it will die. If this doesn't work I will have to try a new pump I suppose, but once they quit they seem to do it all at once. Maybe kwik trip will pay for it, I am sure this is from there crappy gas lol
Redline Total Fuel System Cleaner works very well for keeping the system nice n'clean. I use a full bottle every oil change, and then a few ounces every fill-up. Pep Boys stocks it.
was just out driving it, I am now thinking it is electrical because it somesimes will cutout for a split secend even when I am getting on it hard. I suppose I need to figure out which ground is for the ecu and injectors and clean it. It seems to run fine and pull as hard as normal. I suppose the main ground to the frame from the battery is a good place to start. I have to get to a bachler party so I won't get to it today. Another thing is its won't do it all the time and there is no pattern to when it does it. I suppose another thing to check is all the coil wires ect.
