Ok...I don't want to create a pissing match between C5 and C6 owbers, but I need some advice. I have a 2001 Z06 quicksilver vette. It has 45k on it and runs great. I have done the exhaust and added a blackwing intake. I suspect I am up around the 400 hp range now. I love my car don't get me wrong, but I see that the prices on the non Z06's have come way down. Would I be foolish to trade my 2001 in on a 2006? Can the stock C6 keep up with my Z? They should have about the same hp? Try to be as unbiased as you can please. I love the new body style except for the headlights and the interior seems to be more appealing as well.

Before I purchased my c5z06 I thought about getting a c6 but couldn't justify the $10k difference between a 40k mile 01 z0 and a 25-30k mile 05 c6. I'm sure I would have been happy with both but overall now I'm much more satisfied w/ the z06. I'm sure since you've owned the z06 for some time now you may be ready to move on to something else and by all means you should try out a c6 if you got the money to pick one up for cheap and sell your z0 for a good price. I'd imagine that your i/e z06 would pull a stock c6 but every car can be modded. Good luck in your decision.

I'm not biased at all. After four years of seeing C6's on the road, I still don't like them. I'm keeping my Z for a real long time. It runs perfect and still excites me every time I drive it. After owning it five years I'm still not bored with it,

As for me, I just love the c6 styling. As a big guy they are more cramped inside than c5. I'm sure I will buy a c6 Z06 when the blue devil comes out and pricing of Z06 comes down.

What do you want to do? It'll be your car, you'll be driving it and paying for it.

It depends on how the C6 is setup...if it a Z51 6 speed car it will keep up.If its an auto/paddle setup 2.56s gears in back you`ll beat him 7 ways to Sunday.
