Folks, I just picked up a cytek battery charger, when I put her way for the winter in a few months I plan on leaving her plugged in. My question is for anyone that has a cytek....I planned on using the eyelet adapter that connects right to the terminals (and leaving the adapter there) rather than using the aligator clips....the eyelet holes look kinda small to me, so my question is whether anyone has had problems fitting them to the terminals? Thanks.
I don't have a CTEK float maintenance charger, but I do have a BATTERY TENDER PLUS that also comes with the ring terminals.
The terminals can be changed out easy enough to smaller ID if needed. Just cut, then crimp or solder.
You could also use a small (brass or copper) washer with the correct ID over the top of the oem ring terminals.
I don't like to use the alligator clips on mine, either. I leave the short lead permanently connected to the OPTIMA with the ring terminals connected at the battery connector clamps on the posts.
