it not a pop-uup it is embedded streaming video
it slows down the loading of pages.
Many people view the forum from work during lunch and breaks and now with the streaming video this maybe impossible for them to do so due to applications to block websites etc...

I'm using firefox and I can still see the Dale video. I can understand the irritation from some people though, if the new streaming videos prevent them from going onto the CF while at work, that is a huge bummer. I'd be upset too.

Someone (new forum ownership) is not hearing what the members are saying. We don't mind advertising but it doesn't have to be everywhere. Pages are taking much longer to load, firewalls are keeping members from accessing the forum at work. When we try to tell them what we think they lock the threads. They need to remember that this forum is only as valuable as the number of users it has. If they can't keep it the way the forum members want it to be it won't take long for a migration to begin to one of the other Corvette forums that are available. This is the largest and best forum for Corvettes there is, I hope the new ownership wakes up and begins to pay attention to what all the users of the forum have to say, otherwise they might find their investment isn't as valuable as it was.

you have to get an add-in I think called adblock then add the site.

I'll add to this one. I use a Mac. I think the dale video is aimed at PC. I can see the ad fine. When the ad first appeared so did a strange sound. Does the video ad have sound? On my mac it sounds like an engine for 1/2 a second. Thats it. Nothing more. Maybe they should consider ads that are compatible with Safari.

Adblock plus with the filterset G updater= zero ads on CF!
(See, now even the nice ad's i wouldn't mind seeing and clicking on are blocked, so you've gone and lost all revenue because you were greedy.)
I agree though, I went on a computer with only IE and YUCK!
Corvette owners are especially finiky I think.
