Thanks.....I just masked every other square to keep them black, cleaned all the surfaces with paint thinner, then scuffed the exposed squares (to be white) with red Scotchbrite pads. I used satin enamel paint to color & thats pretty much it. Masked all the surrounding areas with 12" masking paper & used regular masking tape. The time I invested was in the masking taped squares. I spent about an hour or better per side doing just that.
Any clean-up or overspray, I just used Q-tips & thinner to take care of.
