I have a question about the display while traveling down the road, it seems that the display will over saturate and be bright you can see all the possibilities that could be lit up (like a shadow box). I have the slider adjuster about set 1/2 way. Seems to do it when it gets brighter. I also notice that the 'MPH' changes intensity also. Is the light sensor messing up? I will try to clean it but it appears clean. Looking for any suggestions.
The changing intensity is normal. If you're driving into the sun, the intensity will increase for better vision...it will dim as the sun goes down or if you go into a tunnel etc. I have mine set at about half way also, and when I'm going to work in the morning, that increased intensity is nice since I can't see any other guages due to the sun in my face.

Thanks, does yours over intensify and make 'shadow boxes' it does this when I hit bright patches?

It's normal and the difference you are seeing is due to the angle of the sun. At certain angles and with the sun shining just right you can see all of the HUD functions. When you turn and change the angle of the sun the display returns to normal. It's just a quirk of the HUD display in the Corvette.
Probably only happens during the day, bright sunlight.
It's the sunlight reflecting on the image display painting all active areas so it appears to be completely saturated. It should disappear as you change directions.
The HUD also has auto brightness in that if you turn directly towards the sun like in the morning the display will automatically go to full brightness and when you turn away from the sun it will return back to your setting. This is different from the mid day sun shining down inside the HUD lenses and matrix.
All normal nothing to worry about.
FYI from page 2-115 of the Owners Manual:
The brightness of the HUD image is determined by
the light conditions in the direction your vehicle is
facing and where you have the HUD dimmer control
set. If you are facing a dark object or a heavily
shaded area, your HUD may anticipate that you are
entering a dark area and may begin to dim.
It is possible for sunlight to enter the HUD causing
all of the graphics to light up. The display will return
to normal when the sunlight is no longer entering
the HUD.

Next time a LEO says you were doing 85, tell him he wrong because your speedometer showed one more less than his. Remind him he needs to calibrate his radar, and that he does not need to stop you until he gets his equipment working properly.

When the sunlight hits the HUD at a certain angle, you will get a washed out effect or it will look like everything is showing up at once. Mine does it too and when the sunlight angle changes, the HUD goes back to normal.
