ok, this may sound somewhat dumb, but I know nothing of this....
First I want to say that I read up on alot of "lowering " for the Z car. Some good..some not so good. It appears to be a matter of choice. ok, heres the dumb part..how can you tell if your car is lowered? Where do you measure from? I know, I know..but I'm not that tech smart, but the car rides fantastic!
Thanks

You can measure the wheel gap between the fender and the wheel.....If it is over 1 1/2"s it prob has not been lowered....You can also check by pulling into a GM dealership that has a nice stocker and check that way.....
I am guessing you bout used since you dont know....If it looks like a 4x4 wheel gap then it is stock ride hieght
From the pic in your thumbnail it looks like yours has been lowered on stock bolts. You can look under the rear and look at the rear lowering bolts and if there aren't any threads showing then its been lowered.
I thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I bought it used 2 years ago. Since then I put on a Corsa Pro Series Pace Car muffler system, installed the halltech air and the stripes (That's a pic of my car) As far as the "lowering" part well then I went out and measured..over 2" all around so it seems to be stock. Guess I'll do that next
Thanks!
I quess I measured wrong somehow.. There are only two threads showing above the nut so I'm thinking "lowered"
Yep you're lowered, you usually want two to three threads showing in the rear so you have some rake. Next you'll have to check the fronts to make sure they're lowered all the way. When I checked mine the passenger side was but the driver side was 1/2 up in adjustment. Here's a link that might help. http://www.frankhunt.com/FRANK/hobbi...5_Lowering.htm
Edit: When adjusting the fronts its a good idea to jack the leaf spring up a little on the side you're adjusting; when doing this put a block of wood b/t the jack and the spring to protect the spring.
Thanks again "ctusser" for your help. I doubled checked all wheels and the site you gave me told me how to measure. My rears are 27 5/8"and the front are 26 3/8". So it looks as if the car has been lowered by 1" all around. No wonder it looks so great!
