That depends a lot on where you live. Resale values vary so much from region to region. Here in the Pacific Northwest you would probably see a price in the low 30's on a dealership lot. While I think that is probably high in most parts of the country, asking prices are generally whatever the market will bear.
Is this convertible on a dealership lot? Private party sale? What is the asking price? What all this boils down to is, what do you think it is worth? With only 5000 miles over an 8 year period, you could see some seal and hose issues. Have the car checked out thoroughly by a qualified mechanic, primarily looking for leaking seals.

If it's any help, I bought my Mag Red/Tan Top 2000 Vert about a month ago from a guy on ebay for 26k. It had 18,000 miles on it, and also had Chromed OEM wheels on it. It also has the GM Extended Warranty until 2009, so I thought it was a pretty fair deal. Plus the car was in excellent condition, inside and out. Oh, and it's a six-speed too, with HUD.
