Dang that is nasty!
I was at work and in my work truck I nailed a dead skunk in griffith Park and when i rewached the job it smelled disgusting!
So i looked under the truck and it had some white mucus stuff hanging there from the skunk, I believe it was his stink gland!
It smelled for over a month!
Watch out for those skunks!

Just clean off as much as you can, it will take a few weeks for the smell to go away. But it WILL go away; the chemical breaks down on its own. Last time I hit a skunk in another vehicle it stunk for about 3 weeks. I just parked it outside until the smell was less pungent. I wouldn't bother with an insurance claim.

sumwhar I gots a potion fer gittin rid o' skunk spray, see if'n ah kin fine it an post it fer ya
Here it are, mix one qt 3% peroxide, 1/4 cup sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) an 1 teaspoon liquid laundry detergant, spray in on let it stand fer 5 ta 10 min. then wash it off.
don't try to store the leftover potion, it looses it's effectivness after a short while. an whut ever ya do dont keep it i a sealed container. stuff gives off oxygen and will break a glass container.

skunk potion
i actually "Werked" a skunk... Last night, coming home from the local car scene, there was a large skunk in the middle of the freeway, dead, and in 2 pieces. Lets just say, i made about 5 more pieces of it. hit it dead on going 75mph.
the aftermath... my aci chin spoiler is in 2 pieces and VERY bloody, my whole underbody has blood and guts, and cooked meat now thanks to my exhaust pipes. it smelled like my rear and was just, what the English call, a "Bloody Mess"...
i have pics, i'll try and get them up soon.
soo, just wanted to share my story.
