35 mpg?!? WoW
I went on a small road trip yesterday and i saw 35 mpg average. Wow! It only get better being a vette owner. My girl was like holy crap and didn't belive me. We were cruising 80-85 the majority of time and put about 200 miles on the car. Is this normal or just me? Plus I live at 4500ft + alt with crappy 91 gas.

I see times where the instant is 35 or lots more on a road trip. In a typical 150 mile highway trip I generally see about 28.7 OVERALL That includes the city portion etc................

Not out of the ordinary for me. My recent round trip to Carlisle was 900 miles and I averaged 28 mpg with all kinds of driving mixed in. My buddy and I even laughed when the instant showed 92 mpg at one point going downhill.

The DIC isn't completely accurate, if you go down a long enough hill it will read 99.0 mpg and I'm sure that throws off the average.
Best way to check your mileage is to fill it up again and divide the miles in your trip meter by gallons filled.
It is not uncommon to crack the 30mpg marker on highway trips though.

When I clear the average as I'm entering the freeway and look at it as I'm pulling off the freeway I average 35-36mpg hwy. Tailgating I get a little over 40mpg... but thats dangerous so I don't do it.
