Replacing coolant reservoir
I could use some assistance on what seems an easy job, but want to be sure of part numbers, etc.
I have a small leak in my 01 radiator reservoir and want to replace it. Seems simple enough mechanically, but my question refers to part numbers and if I need anything other than the main tank.
I read somewhere online the # was 10402687, but the dealer says that's for a camaro/firebird and/or truck with a battery tray attached.
The dealer gave me part # 10430189-- didn't seem to think I needed any additional parts (e.g., I could reuse my cap). Is this correct?
Any advice or information re: the correct part or approach would be appreciated, as I usually order through GMPartsdirect.com and assume it is a special order that will be non-returnable if incorrect.
Thanks everyone.
They had to order it, but I had it the next day. Also, if I had any
problems, it would be up to them to resolve them, and there were
no shipping charges.
This is a very simple install, other than keeping coolant from
getting all over things.
