Default Traction!

Guys...

By no means is my Vette a hot-rod(no idea what my HP #'s are), but with the Mods(K&N FIPK and Diablo Perf Tune) I've done so far -I've got a traction problem! I have an A4 with 273's and when it shifts to 2nd...the **** end gets squirrely!

It kinda scared the crap outta me once when i was on a road with oncoming traffic on the other side! How do you guys manage this especially with the crazy HP #'s I see being published here in the forum?

Thanks!

I've discovered after years of research the the throttle on most cars has more positions than on and off

doesn't your traction activate?

The run craps couldn't grip if the road was covered in mollasses and chewing gum. I hate 'em!

Traction, whats that? I just went grocery shopping today and not even trying to go fast I realized I was activating traction control when leaving every light. Bald street tires, +37 psi tire pressure mixed in with nearly 500ft lbs of torque to the wheels = me sliding sideways a lot.

If you want to keep runflats, switch to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZPs, you'll have plenty of traction.

Get rid of the runflats...

Here are the tires that I wound up with ---> linky

1000% improvement (and I wasn't on craps to start!)

try a Nitto. It's a decent street tire with a soft compound that will help with traction.

If TC is on you shouldn't get to far out of shape. Just let the **** end move around a little and keep your foot in it while pointing the front end where you want it to go. No different than driving in snow.

I leave my traction control ON!

I've got 423 RWHP and it does the same thing but with the Traction ON! it helps to control it and keep it straight and not spin around and crash!

But if I take it off I must be careful and if it starts to get real loose and crazy pull out of the pedal!

Thanks,Matt
