I pained(blue to match my car) my windshield wiper fluid resovoir(sp) then put a clear coat over it, now it looks like it has a film over the paint, almost foggy. Did I do something wrong? What would cause this?

I had this happen when I did my brake calipers. When I sprayed on the clearcoat, it became foggy, with whitish streaks. What I did was re-spray it with the basecoat color, waited longer for it to dry (overnight) and then applied the clearcoat in thinner layers. Apply it in very light coats and wait for it to dry before adding the next layer. I did 3 coats and it came out pretty nice...Good luck...

Yeah, I am still in the sanding phase of painting my fuel rail covers and man, what a PITA to get these MF'ers smooth. I was going to do the radiator cover also, but I think I am just going to paint it and leave it textured.
