Default tire senser settings

I have to have a tire senser replace, will the CPU reset itself or is there something that I need to do or have done other just having it put on?

Tire Pressure Sensor Training Instructions

1) Turn ignition on but do not start the car
2) Press "Reset" button in order to clear any IPC display warning messages
3) Press and release the "Options" button on the DIC to scroll through the display options until the IPC display is blank
4) Press and hold the DIC "Reset" button for 3 seconds
5) Press the "Options" button again until TIRE TRAINING message appears
6) Press "Reset" button until the IPC "Learn L Front Tire" message appears in order to begin the programming
7) Install the J41760 Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) System Programming Tool (large magnet will do) over the left front valve stem
8) The horn will sound, indicating the left front TPM sensor is programmed (if this takes more than 15 seconds, pull magnet back and try again, it will give you three tries. Then you must start over)
9) When the horn sounds, proceed to program the next TPM sensor in the following order as directed by the IPC messages: -Learn R Front Tire -Learn R Rear Tire -Learn L Rear Tire Programming can be canceled by turning ignition off, waiting 2 minutes with no sensors being learned, finishing all 4 wheels or through the DIC. If the programming is canceled with less than 4 sensors learned, it will only accept the codes programmed up to that point.

You will need to reprogram all four sensors. Easy to do with a decent magnet.

Default Older Z06 tpms into 2012 GS

I gave a set of wheels and tires but can’t get the sensors to read. No fault light yet but I’m sure it’s a matter of time. Can these sensors work in the newer vettes? Thanks

Could you be a little more specific as to what sensors you have, and what you mean by "the newer 'Vettes"?

I gave him a set of 2007 Z06 wheels and tires with the tpms installed in them. He put these wheels, tires and tpms on his 12/2011 GS. We just trying to get the psi to display, it still shows his old psi. We test drove and nothing ever changed or updated on the display

This thread is from 2007 and you are asking a question about a C6 it sounds like. You will probably get more response if you start a new post in the C6 Forum.

Did you do the relearn procedure for the new tires? It is pretty simple, the car will beep the horn on each corner once it is reconized by the system. the sensor should work fine on the 2012, assuming they are still good and the batteries are alive.

two things:
1. Did you do the TPMS re-learn process? If not, you need to or they will not work. The C5's do not "auto re-learn" for new sensors. Seach for "Corvette TPMS Reset", there are tons of threads on this subject.
2. If you do the re-learn and DO NOT hear the horn beep on each corner, then either you have the wrong frequency sensors (should be 315 MHz) OR the batteries are dead in them.

I was able to put it in the learn procedure and hear the horn beep. I put the relearn tool up to the tire and nothing happened. I only tried the LF to start the sequence. Someone said they’re not compatible 🤷🏽‍♂️ was trying to avoid swapping them out. I did have a fresh battery in the learn tool.
