I like the pics. The styling of the mid-years seems to be timeless.
Did your uncle paint the wheel centers to match his body color---looks that way but can't tell for sure. If so, post a good side shot of the car if you can showing the wheel color.
What engine is in the '65? I also see, he's using a '68 or later wheel cap.
