Cool badge. Mine will be just like the stock one except it will just say 620 HP. A "sublte" difference.

After being on the fourms for awhile, you get used to the flamers, especially ones who haven't been members here very long. Nowhere did I ask for opinions, just some math, but it seems opinions are much easier to spew out.

I think you are safe using 620 on your badge.

As a point of reference, I was talking to Jason, at TSP, while he was dyno tuning my car. He actually had the opportunity to engine dyno a 402 they built and then run the car on the chassis dyno after installing the engine. The engine made 650 hp on the engine dyno and 550 rwhp on the chassis dyno. This was in a 6 speed C5. That comes comes to right at 15% loss through the drive train.

Do "605" then you can keep the 0 and 5 on the stock badge, and its a conservative estimate that way.

when I owned my 1982 911SC widebody everybody wants to race you its fun to let them keep up to you at 100 mph I'd just look over at them and smile they think they can keep pace with that porche. Wave then drop it 2 gears and let er rip wow it dosent prove anything dont want the pressure of having to perform or prove yea it's fast. All that matters is that you and only you know that you have the deck stacked in your favor DONT ADVERTISE your ace in the hole. Then let her rip!

I was just doing the math ( rwhp + 15% ) and my car comes out 543.95 HP. I really don't know what to do. 544 doesn't sound that good. I guess I could just lie and say 550, I mean who's going to know? Are their truth in advertising badge checkers? This is way to complicated, on second thought forget the badges.

I'm not partucularly a fan of badges but yet i run LS1 Twin Turbocharged badges. Reason being is that i got tired of all the mustang and ricers wanting to race. Now they tend to leave me alone. But there's not a day that goes by that i wish i didn't have to have them on. I have always liked the sleeper look myself. But in this town there's way too many street racers looking to take on a vette. I guess i should have bought a superchargerBottom line is it's your car and do exactly what you want. Do a search for Austin in Parts he does some awesome work.

Badges?....We don't need no stinkin badges!

Your figure of 620 is correct....opinions vary on loss from 14% to 17% for manual, so if your rwhp is correct at 528 it would be 528/.85=621.179 based on 15%.
Hey, if you like badges, go for it. I don't need chrome wheels, a custom interior, or audio system either, but I like 'em.

You know, thats what makes this hobby so fun, everybody has and does something a little different on their car. We are not here to put anyone down, so just have fun. Now let me see, if I twin turbo my engine I could put on a script of 705hp, awesome. Here's to you

So why dont all the 02-04 Z owners go out and remove their 405 hp badges then !!!

Give me a break....Don't advertise ?? Your driving a vette' _uck sakes !!

Its your car...youve invested in the mods....Using a Z fender badge with 620 hp is ABSOLUTELY no different than a stock one with 405 hp...

If that was true thru out the years we would have never seen any fuel injection badges, Stingray badges, Z06 badges, ZR1 badges, and i'm sure missing a boat load more. I personally am in awe when i see a vette with a Lingenfelter badge, or Supercharged badge, or a Twin Turbocharged badge. Think maybe someday we will see GM come out with a Twin Turbocharged or Supercharged Z06 not running any badges? Don't think so
