yea they stated that they were made specifically for vettes and are compatable with the tps.. when u say alot heavier, how much is 'alot' compared to the high priced wheels?

Generally speaking, you get what you pay for with wheels. However, I've had my Cray's on since June of '06 and they've been reliable performers. I also get many compliments on them.

Here's some pix with them installed...

not the best angle for showing off the wheels, but you get the idea.

taz03 and mr lucky those wheels look awesome i dont plan on racing so to pay 4 times as much for a few less pounds is a rediculous decision to me(at my budget at least).. are those the 19-18s or the 18-17s? they only offer the 18-17s in this catalog.. wheres the best place to get them? maybe a wheel/tire combo somewhere?

Just bought a set at East Coast Corvette, 19&18 with BFG KDW2's shipped for $ 2359.
They didn't have 18/17 in stock.
Look for their post in c5 general on page four, the thread title is Just Arrived

Do a search. They are a lot heavier! I had them on my car and took them off within 2 months. Absolutely noticed the difference in the way the car performed. I can't remember exactly what I weighed the difference to be but we are not talking a couple of pounds more like 7 plus on each wheel and if I remember correctly closer to 12lbs. They look great but don't even think about it if you drive your car hard or like the best performance out of your car. Generally people who don't mind them don't really push their cars very hard and have the car more for looks than performance. This is from someone who had them. I went back to stock Z06 wheels except in the polished Z16 version. Good luck

Stock sizes weight a total of 26lbs more. Carry 4 gallons less fuel in your tank or get rid of the run-flats and it will even itself out.
Absolutely CANNOT tell the difference from stock thin spokes. However, some folks "think" they can.

Without getting into a whole debate about this, its not the overall weight thats a factor. Its the rotating mass of the wheels. If you can't notice a difference, its because you haven't swapped out the stock wheels to the aftermarkets yet

After 4 sets of wheels on my car, each set made the car perform different than the last. When I had my 18/19 Z07 wheels, I could barely get the rear tires to spin. When I had the 19" CCWs all around, the performance picked up dramatically. When I went to the 19/20 CCW, the performace was affected again. Its not all "in your head"

I guess I "think" my timeslips are different. One other point, I went from Z06 wheels to the Crays. Going from a heavier stock wheel to the Crays will not be as noticeable.
"Carry 4 gallons less fuel in your tank or get rid of the run-flats and it will even itself out." Interesting. And you can't tell the difference in your cars performance between a full tank of fuel and an empty one either I guess.
The weight is noticeable! Some don't mind and some do. I am not downing anyone who has the wheels on their car. I liked the looks when I had them they are just really heavy. I was just pointing out the facts. Make your own decision and enjoy.

I've had crays on my car for awhile now and I don't notice any significant difference in the acceleration. Then again I don't burn out my tires or track my car.

I bought my HRE 545's used with near new Toyo Proxes for $3100. shipped. I got them from a forum member. They had a few tiny scratches here & there, nothing major......but they retail for around $5,800. (wheels only).....so what I paid was a steal.

Look for a GOOD used set of CCW or HRE or something of the like. ALWAYS stay away from Asian made wheels.
