Seems like 75% of the time when Iam trying to shift hard into 2nd and also hard into third my car will lose some traction but its not really the traction loss when your still spinning but MOVING foward but for me a hard 2nd and 3rd gear shift will have me losin traction side to side and than continuing to go foward. On top of this I also have the wheelp hop/tappin from the rear..
Its like chirpin every gear but doin so going left to right rather than chirppin moving foward...
Hope that makes sense...
Think my shifts might be too slow??
Should I be diff with the cluth maybe speed shifting?
Thx
BTw my car has halltech Trap and also Lt's....with 3.90's...
Mine stays loose sideways into the beginning of third gear, or 80 mph, then takes off like a bat outta hell. Mostly due to my crappy supercars. I have never had one ounce of wheel hop in this car though.
It's natural for that sideways twist to occur because of the amount of power that is being applied to the ground.
Might want to check rear tire pressure. If one tire is a few lbs different from the other it'll have a pretty severe pull to the side under heavy acceleration.

Even though I'm stock, I would love to feel this car's performance (just once) without wheelspin. Admittedly my supercars are do for a change, I just hope I make the right tire choice to give me the best dry grip. No problems shifting though.
The supercars like to be warm to really perform well, if they are cold and you lean on the throttle hard you are likely to have some serious spin especially if they got some miles on them.
To answer the first question in this thread I wouldnt say you are shifting too slow if you are yielding the results you say (spinning hard in 2nd and 3rd). You may want to smooth your shift out a bit by feeding the clutch out and squeezing back into the throttle quickly when you make a shift instead slam clutch in/out stomp on gas. If your tires are original and approaching the end of thier life span it just may be time for new rubber as well. Good Luck and practice makes perfect.... or at least gets you close
I use to have the same problem until I stopped powershifting the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. Now I don't get wheel hop and my ET improved by 1.5-2.0 tenths in the quarter.
Any tire (especially a performance tire) after its a couple years old starts to breakdown compound wise and will begin to lose its elasticity/softness and will lose some of its grip, even a tire that appears to have a ton of tread left will lose performance.
