quite honestly you dont have to stave off a c6 at all. I had a c6 and sold it to buy a c5z commerative. Your interior is perfect. It is really excellent!!!!
Hmmm... revisiting this thread... I love the interior. I'm putting a new head unit in myself. It's a Pioneer Premier w/ a brushed aluminum finish. I'm getting a HU plate from vrumvrum w/ a Z06 emblem engraved. I think I'll have to get those HVAC ***** and brush them myself. They'll go great w/ the guage bezels and C6 shifter I have.
Those seats are the perfect compromise seat... I love them.
If you really want to stave off a C6 get a doubledin conversion w/ dvd/nav then you won't be giving up anything.
Oh.... now that you've had it for a bit, do you find your right leg marring/scratching the leather on the console? My stock piece is scratched up, but I'm 6'4" so I need the space.

Now, why couldn't GM do them all like that originally? How much more would it had really cost? Yours is perfect, It looks like it could be OEM, if only GM had taken the time to do it better.
Thanks!
I get a lot of compliments on the "subtlety" of the mods I have done. John Caravaggio told me that that is his ultimate compliment when someone tells him it looks stock. GM did not do this from the factory so that they could price our cars affordably. Not everyone cares as much as most here on the forum. John Q Public is who the manufacturer build for...
Looks great. I was so impressed I ordered the leather wrapped radio/console surround and the fog light switch surround today. I ordered black with black stitching. As vette stuff goes I don't these two pieces are priced bad.
Love your interior, John does great work. I have the same work done in mine - but he did it in suede for me - seats, center console and pad, shift and brake boots, and (havent got picture yet) the traction control panel are all suede in mine now.
