Anyone else have problems installing a dual cone intake?
I got the thing in, took a little longer than 20 minutes though. The problem is it doesnt seem to be sitting right. The airbridge sticks up just enough so I cant put it back on those two grommets that hold it in place.
You may be able to trim down one of the couplers? I have an aftermarket bridge and have had several of them. None have been attached with the grommets.........they stay in place just fine.
I just finished installing mine. Got it from WCC. I installed the airbridge connected to the chrome pipe first, without the fillters. Then very carefully pulled up on the pipe and slid the filters on. Mine is connected to the stock rubber grommets. Hope this helps.

You probably got one of the ones designed to work with an aftermarket airbridge. I had one I sold to someone else without the airbridge, and it made his stock airbridge stick up like that. No problem though, it won't come off. Most aftermarket airbridges don't even use those mounting points.
I put mine in with all clamps loose. I then man handled it to fit, & then tightened all clamps
.
Put the clamps on so that you can tighten them AFTER you get the until you get the unit on correctly. Then, adjust the angles of the coupler and filter-horn until the grommets go back on correctly. It took me about 15 minutes to get it right the first time and now I can do it in 5.
I have the dual cone also but with an aftermarket bridge from WCC and it doesnt even have a place to tie down the bridge, I dont think yours will go anywhere
Weird, mine fits in place just fine. Every once in a while mine pops off, but no biggie. Anyone else getting a check engine light from the Intake air temp sensor with this intake?

Let me know if you still have trouble.
I am about to install the same. I do have some questions.
1 - How difficult is it to get the stock air box out?
2 - Any tips or tricks I need to know before I begin?
3 - Are there any pictures or on line install instructions that may help me.
Thanks,
Same problem....was worse with a smooth coupler. Put the accordian style back on and then placed rubber bushings under the front side radiator cover bolts, forcing it to pivot and close the gap.
