Ok i am going to be buying a vette soon btw years 97-04 what ever i can get a good deal on. My goal is to to get about 650-700 hp but I know nothing about the corvettes is there a sticky around to educate me? I plan on running trickflow for the car maybe get a trick flow kit. it is only 2000 so not to much. I also plan on getting a Kenny Bell twin screw super charger but i have no idea what else i will need if i need to get a rebuild kit with better performance parts and what else i will need to replace. I am not sure if it is a auto or manual yet. I dont even know if the this generation has 5 speed or 6 speed trannys i really could use some help to read up on and would i need to replace my transmission with this much hp? so big pointers would help thx. I know no web sites or anything really. I do know about car just nothing about this car I am going from ford mustang 88 to a corvette if that helps at all. If there is a specific year i should be buying for my vette plz let me know.
you can search other threads on here for people that have done similar mods and PM them about what they did and how. Good Luck. My next mod is a supercharger
You're making the move from an '88 Fox to a C5? I'd say that's a step in the right direction. The manual gearbox is 6 forward & 1 reverse. Head to the C5 FI section. There are some cars in there making some serious power.

Well I have alot done to my my mustang and i plan on selling it and saving up more money for a vette and plan on buying a manual but have no idea how much the transmission can take what model is the tranny and would anything else go out around that hp?
I would do as Zilla suggested and in the FI/Nitrous section you will find lots of cars with this hp and look in my profile and you will see my build up and a MN6 or A4 is your prefence
with your requirements of 650 to 700 hp you will need alot of cash flow. forged bottom end , beefier trans.output shafts, clutch or if a-4high stall t/c,headers, cat back, high flow cats, trans brace, maybe a rearend gear change, the list goes on as does the spending i would guess you are looking at 20big for that power conservative est. good luck with your mods. ive already have 12k into my car and dont have supercharger am at 430rwhp with h/c

well should i save up for a c6 ls7 then? then go on from there? of course it will take me another 2 years before i have the money then.
well if thats the case then i would not want to do forced induction and i would wants to do all the bolts on i can do and my car wont break down.
