Has anyone painted the plastic surrounding hte headlights when they are up? I think it is terrible looking, and since I just bought a cheap paint gun and painted eveything under my hood, I think Im gonna paint the headlight plastics, the wiper cowl, and redo my brake calipers. Should be pretty fun !!
I don't know about you guys, but when my headlights are up it is usually because it is dark. Who will see the headlight bezels anyway? Also, since the OP's C5 is black, the difference would be only noticeable up close IMO. It's almost like putting tire dressing on the inside tire wall.
I say go for it though, I'm curious to see how it looks... it may end up looking really good!

Reason: speeling
I figured someone would chime in about it being dark. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean I don't know its there. More of a personal satisfaction! And I was just looking for pics
If you went this far why did you SKIP the CAPLUG?
Mine is on with RTV as I've lost 2 and am tired of finding new ones.
Even the new design with the twist will fall out given time. BIGHANK
One of the vendors used to sell painted-to-match headlight bezels for around $100. I had the guy that did my front end do mine and my licencse plate surround for $25 since it was all together -- clearcoated too. He did the plug, but I did the screws. It looks TERRIFIC on pewter! And you have your lights on well before it gets too dark for others to see you, so it does improve the look of your car with lights popped up (which I'm not generally crazy about).

Mine are painted mag red and if you show your car at shows, then you will see the light bezels when the hood is up. It looks 100% better painted. Also when you paint the wiper cowl, paint the wipers the same color, it looks awesome. Sorry no pics
