I'm playing with the idea of chunking my 3.73's and going to 3.15 gears.
Anyone done this?
Ideally, this setup will be for a ~550rwhp N/A, so none of the boost junkie 2.73 action.
puts the car in line with c6z levels of acceleration(actually ratios are still a little better) and top speed. This will be the gears I go with when I do my H/C setup.
I will be using my TT ZO6 for Open Road Racing as well as driving to races, and no drag racing. So the thought has crossed my mind also. I will be averaging 160 or 170mph so will not go below 120 or 130mph during the race. I will run stock ratios for a race or two to see what I think. I have the 3:15's in the Vert so it would just be a swap. I am sure the Vert would like the quicker response.

I swapped to 3.73's about 1K miles ago. Had I known that I would have the intention of adding power, I'da stayed 3.42's or gone taller. But it's not of a concern right now
my daily driver, (a Avalanche 2500) is reaching the 60K mile mark and I got an $$$ assload of repairs that I noticed while swapping the front wheel bearings so I'm more than likely back burner'in the vette in place of getting one of those new fangled caddy ext's. I cant daily the 'vette cuz the door bars and straight pipes. Oh well, all the more reason to wait for one of those direct injection things sadly...
