What is the max hp/tq rating on a stock c5 clutch. I have a 2002 with 25k miles and this winter I'm having a new motor put in. The new forged motor is as follows:
Stock block and stock crank (both new)
Mahle Forged Pistons
Callies Compstar Rods
Calico Coated Clevite Bearings
ARP main studs
ARP head bolts
FAST 90 intake manifold
230/232 x 112 cam
AFR dual springs w/ Ti retainers
Manley hardened pushrods
Eventually a 150 shot of nitrous but I think that will have to wait until next year. The motor will be a 348ci and should put out around 450hp and about the same on torque. I was just curoius if I needed to upgrade the clutch now or could I wait until the nitrous install.
how does the textralia clutch compare to the spec clutches??
I never have had a Spec and I have the Textralia Twin and I like the way it works and it seems to hold my 700+ rwhp with no issues and the single should be fine in your setup, I would call A&A or ECS and ask them about the single disk Textralia setup and go from there as they install many of these
I have the Ram Dual Disc set up in mine, not chatter at all and great engagement! Could not be more pleased with it and had it done with my H/C/I swap and gettting it ready for the procharger this winter
how does the textralia clutch compare to the spec clutches??
I've gone through two different Spec clutches and now have the Textralia with their ultral-lightweight flywheel... ...although I've not track tested it yet, (but quite a few burn-outs & occasional very hard driving), I personally think the Aussie 'Textralia' is the better of the two....
