Hood liner?

What is the best and easiest way to remove the hood liner without damage? Where is the best and cheapest place to get a new one? Mine has a hole in it from the previous owner..

SC belt split and shredded part of mine and it looks like crap now.

Hood Liner

I need a new one too. Evidently while in storage from the previous owner the mice got into mine. I want one with the painted graphics for the C5. I haven't found one yet though. Let me know if you find one at a good price.

I replaced mine with an embroidered one but before I did I looked into getting a stock one. Of all the corvette parts places I looked the most unlikely was the best deal. If you order from a chevy dealership it was about 40 dollars vs 100+ from just about all corvette parts places. I can't say the dealer prices in your area are the same even though they should be. but its a good place to start. good luck

Here's a tool to remove the fasteners with. You may need to get some new ones as they break pretty easily.

Check with Gene Culley at GM Parts House for a new insulator. I got one from him recently. It was about $84 plus about $45 shipping (oversized).

I removed my liner with the long-handled fork off my BBQ set. Slid it under the liner and twisted and popped the plastic connectors off.

A door panel removal tool or even a BBQ fork will work to pull the plastic retainers off. Probably the best place to get a new one would be GMPartsHouse.
