I am having a problem that seems to be getting worse. The turn signals seem to work just some of the time. The emergency flashers work. Is it just a flashing relay or something. I will change the emergency and the flashing relay and see if that makes a difference
If that doesn't work try replacing the multifunction switch. I was having problems with blinkers/hazard function. Then, my taillights and side markers would only work intermittently, then my dash lights. I replaced the hazard and multifuction switches and haven't had a problem since. *crosses fingers*
It's the flasher unit. It's housed in the emergency flasher in the dash. It needs to be replaced, not too bad a job. There are detailed instructions available here if you search for them. I just did mine last week, took about an hour.
Mine's fine but I imagine sometime in the future it will need replacing.
I'm a tad confused after reading the excellent how-to you posted. In the section where you pull the front console out the gentleman turned on the key and put it in low gear. I can see that necessary to move the shifter to pull out the front cover but later he states that it's a pain to fit the key FOB through the hole while reinstalling the console cover.
Couldn't you just put the key to "off" and remove it after putting the shifter in low??? Why leave the key in and then have to juggle around when putting the front console cover back in??? I have a six-speed so I guess it wouldn't be an issue for me since I just depress the clutch and slide it down into second to take my cover out. I was just curious
most automatics lock the key in place unless the tranny is in Park, I'm not sure about vettes, but I would be surprised if that wasn't the case. so if you have it in low gear to make it easier to get the console out I think the key has to be there no matter what.

Thanks, didn't know you couldn't take the key out. Never had an automatic.

you're not missing much haha. the darn things keep changing gears without you telling them to! they are nice if you ever get stuck in traffic though. my other car is an Auto and I love it just the same, although if they offered that car in a manual I definitely would have gone that route.
