My wife and I took a little ride Saturday morning out to the country to a little town here in Utah. We stopped at a Subway for lunch and had decided to eat outside because it was so nice.
As we were eating our lunch a car pulled up across from where we were setting and 3 or 4 girls about 12 or 13 years old in soccer uniforms piled out of the car and were headed towards the Subway and had to pass by the Vette. As one of the girls passed by the Vette she stopped and took several pictures of the car on her cell phone. I was quite flattered and we both got a cluckel out of it. They probably don't see to may cars like that up where we were at. Gotta love it.
Lol... nvm.. Did I hit it. No, this man saw me taking pics of it and he asked me if I liked bmw's. I said of course and I asked him to rev it up. He had like UUC exhaust or something like that. It sounded SWEEEET. He asked me if i wanted to go for a drive and he drove me up the street and back. It's pretty darn fast.
It sure is nice when people notice your ride - and the Vette gets its share of looks.
Yea I love it, my GTO never got that much attention, everyone just thought it was a Cavalier or a Grand Am until I started it up, then it was.... "that things got a V8 in it?" that was the fun part of the GTO.
Cool story. I must confess that I love the attention I get, or should I say my car gets, wherever I go. Very seldom do I take it anywhere without getting a comment or two, and I love it.
I was in Canmore this summer and as I approached my C5 in the parking lot, I noticed a bunch of Japanese tourists taking pictures of it. I pressed the panic button to set off the alarm. We all had a great laugh, including the Japanese tourists.
