Default $6700.00 in repairs???

Just got a call from the local vette shop the battle damage is extensive.
Clutch slave and clutch master(tried changing the clutch fluid it worked 75 % of the time), says the acid leaked from my battery and got to the computer. He says my water pump was leaking badly but I park in my garage and take care to look for fluids as I back out and come in. Also said my throttle body was bad. what repairs should I tackle first and why?

I would bring the car home and get a new computer and battery first. do all the work yourself and maybe spend 1500. the clutch slave and master are less than 300. 100 for a optima red top battery. 100 for a used T/B

I would get that vette out of that dealership ASAP........check out the leaks yourself.....get a new battery.....and take it to a real shop in your area and just get a new clutch installed and not worry about any other problems...

If you're messing with a Stealership, of course this would explain $6700.00 for about 1000.00 worth of actual work and parts.

The last place you EVER want to take your car is to the Stealership.
This of course is the biggest rip off route you could ever possibly take.

I just finished dealing with them about a column lock issue that GM is supposed to fix free of charge............THE STEALERSHIP TRIED TO GOUGE ME FOR 400.00.

As others said get the car out of there. I would do the battery and computer yourself, pretty straight forward. How many miles on the car?

I agree with the other posts about the cost, but I noticed you mentioned "local vette shop". Are you referring to a specialty shop the works on vettes or are you referring to a dearlership? Either way I would get it out of there.
I also noticed that you have a Florida tag on your avatar. Where in Florida are you, because if you are in my area and the car is at a vette shop, I would like to know were so I can stay clear of it.

Take is somewhere else ASAP. The fact that he offered to buy it does not give me a good feeling.

This seems to be someone wanting to buy your Vette on the cheap and then turning it for a sizeable profit
