My 2000 Coupe passenger window sometimes will not go up or it will not go down. Then at times it does. I can hear a faint clicking sound in the door when the switch is pressed but no movement. Fuses checked out ok. Any thoughts?
I know I did a search on this subject and found where the motor would be in a bind, I took the door panel off and gave it a tap with a hammer like the post I read said to do and it started working again with no problems for about 3 wks now.
I know I have a Lincoln Mark VIII and the window does the same thing in it, and I can usually bump the inside of the door panel and while holding the button and it usually goes back to normal.
I know I tried it on the vette and the bumping part didn't work, thats why I had to remove the door panel to get to the motor cause it would click when you pushed the buttons but nothing would happen, then tapped with a hammer and no problem since, Wish I had more info for ya but hope this helped....
If your window sticks, just hold the window control button down and slam the door closed. It may take several times, but it should un-stick the motor. This is a typical problem. Some have suggested to run the window down and up once a week or so.
