Default Power increase with LS6 Manifold???

The only mods that I have right now are Vararam and Zo6Ti's.

How much hp/tq would I gain with an ls6 manifold? Just trying to justify spending 300+ on it.

Is there a way for me to check to see if I already have one without having to take it off?

I've seen posts reporting approx 5HP...

They've also said the real gain from the ls6 intake happens when you add heads/cam.

Hope that help!

the real benefit to the newer LS1 with the LS6 intake comes in the form of the greater Torque...I know the intake is not the only difference between the 97-00 LS1 and the 01-04 LS1, but what are the chances some or all of the nice boost in the torque rating will come long with the LS6 manifold on a pre-01 LS1?

Some Sellers claim 10-15 rwhp increase. I find that hard to believe. What do you guys think?

10-15 is the generally accepted amount. I have never done a dyno before/after though.

I think a 8-10rwhp is more the norm. I did MAC mid-lengths with cats at the same time as the LS6 intake on my 2000 Z28 and netted 30rwhp. The intake swap was one of the easiest mod installs I've done on the LSx engines.

C.5, read this...basicaly the intake was what gave the 01 vette a 5hp gain over previous years. The 25 xtra ftlbs were due to the cam.

hope this helps

If you are adding heads/cam or FI later, might as well add the LS6 intake as it flows better. If you plan on staying stock, I wouldn't bother.
