How often assuming normal driving conditions does the throttle body need cleaning? I've got an 04 with 10,500 miles and the dealer said it needs cleaning. Is that an easy DIY, and seems a little soon?

You've got to be kidding? The dealer told you that? There's not much to clean in the throttle body. In fact, I couldn"t see one getting dirty enough to where it would need an actual cleaning, especially with 10,000 miles. It sounds like the dealership is looking to make $100 in 3 minutes.
Took my car to the dealer to have the red Z06 calipers installed, and they informed me this would also require new break pads and roters. HUH? I asked them if there was a big sucker sticker on my forhead? Well, the calipers went on, no extra charges, and there may be a sucker born every minute, but maybe I stretched that out to 2 minutes!
