Default Need help!!! Tire question!

My 03 Z needs new rear tires!!! I want to run Nitto 555's. I found some at the store, but they are 285/35/18. Mine on the Z are 295/35/18. Can I run the 285's? Will they look funny or look right?
Thanks!!!
Matt

The 285/35R18 is 0.2" shorter than the stock tire (not to mention the width). The difference in height may throw off your traction control (ie get an error, or inoperative traction control), because of the speed difference between the front and rear wheels. I am not certain what is an acceptable speed difference between fornt/rear...

Matt:

Check out this site and see what you think:
http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp?postId=906

Input the wheel/tire size you have now (on the left).
Input the wheel/tire size you plan to go to (on the right).

At the bottom it will show you the size differences

In your case
The sidewall, and the width will be smaller than stock wheel.
The tire diameter is smaller (663mm vs 657mm)
When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 59.5mph (95.8km/h): 0.8% slower.
