They sit there because the seller is asking a "fair market price" and most peeps here want way under "fair market price"
BTW, yes you are in the wrong section
I sold a 04 GTO on the GTO board in 2 days but I was not asking a unrealistic price for it either that's the key to selling anything, don't over price it. It was the easiest sale I had ever done. The Buyer Pay-Paled me a deposit and mailed a cashiers check for the rest and when it cleared he had it shipped to him and I picked up my Vette a week later and the best part, it's free.
Your a little high on your asking price IMO. 21k would be ok if you were under 50k on your mileage. Drop to just under 20K it you should be able to sell it no problem. Just a little free advise that's worth what you pay for it.

I have a 1995 For Sale on the C4 section and it's been there for a few months now. Lot of lookers but no takers. Not sure if it will be the same for a C5 though. Those tend to sell better then the C4's.
I listed a Vette for sale on multipule sites all over the Net. I got the best results from this Forum. I got answers from all over the country and Canada.
Good Luck with your sale.............
I've had 7 C5's two of which I sold on here. One I sold way to cheap the other I got a fair price for. As long as your not asking over Private party value this is a good place otherwise be prepared for low ball offers galore.
Good luck on your sale and congrads on your C6. I may get one soon but maybe next year I still love my C5's
Got mine from AutoTrader.com, not because I wouldn't have bought from CF, but because I found a fit for my finances and what I wanted there. I would post it here also, the more exposure the better. Good luck
MOST of the so called buyers on this forum are not the regular guys who routinely come to this forum. They are lurkers and posers. There are a lot of kids with ricers that want to move up. There is no support on this forum to help keep the pricing and value of our cars up. It's a sad fact that we eat our own here.
I bought mine a little over a year ago from someone here on the forum. As long as your not asking some unreasonable price, I think you should be able to move it. Congrats on the new ride, too!
I spent a lot of time searching the forum, I did see a few good deals, but not what I was looking for or too far away. Most were not competitive in condition or price or both to what I bought. The gentlemen I purchased from had owned an L-88, and 3 C2 Corvettes; so not being a member didn't exactly count him out as a Vette nut. Still comes down to simple facts, people are looking for the best deal for them (shocker). Sometimes it is the forum, sometimes not...
Good luck on the sale, hope it goes well.
I had good luck with Craigslist, a lot of calls and eventual sale of my other car through there. I priced it pretty competitively and the buyer was real happy. I try to get a good deal buying, but I offer a good deal selling too.
