Rest of the car coming soon. As for the engine compartment. A friend of mine at work told me about something called Simple Green. I already knew about this but he said it is your friend and it works!! It works pretty good at taking the gunk off. I used it full strength on everything except the alternator. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes and hosed it off with a light spray of water. Kept spraying for a while to make sure everything was off. Then I blew everything as dry as I could get it. After letting it dry for a couple hours, I got out the Meguires Tire Treatment and a rag. This is the hard part as you will get some cuts and scraps. Reached my hand in every place it would fit and then some to wipe everything down and get it to shine. Seems to work pretty well. Don't know how long it will last but it looks a whole lot better now. Found out after I used that stuff that it has silicone in it and may attract dirt over a period of time. He suggested that I use Meguires Hyper Detail next time. Which I will do as it is water based. I'm happy with it for now though. Oh yeah, as for the insulator, I used what others have used on the CF. I cleaned it first then used the BBQ paint. Worked great. Glad you all like it.
Wow your underhood before looked like you were out on the farm and had some rats or something camping out in there and now it looks like a Vette is supposed to and it is nice and clean now
