Help - Spilled some coffee today....
But I noticed some moisture inside the window which shows the temperature. I keep my air on auto, so I don't push the buttons very often - they seem to push just fine. Just bothered me about the moisture. Over the couse of the day, it seems to have gone away, but I'm really nervous.
What kinds of problems do you think I should expect. Can I take the system out and clean anything? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I spilled a cup on my desk and didn't realized that it got into my mouse, and one day it stopped working.
Took it apart and the ciruit board was eaten alive.
There is a vendor on ebay repairing them, corvette parts c5 section

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
It's difficult enough just watching out for the SUV's and the FOP's let alone drinking a beverage while operating the car.
I did the same thing a while back and took the whole unit out and cleaned it and while I was at it fixed my dim display problem

Sports Cars don't need cup holders.
Step 2. Go to http://www.vetteessentials.com and follow the instructions for removing the center console bezel (they're listed under the instructions for changing the gear shift boot).
Step 3. Make sure ignition is OFF (no power to HVAC module) and remove the HVAC module from the car (2 screws on the front of the module attach it to the console frame, one large multi-pin connector in the back.
Step 4. Go to http://www.spdkilz.com/techtipledhvac.html for instructions on how to disassemble the module.
Step 5. Use the cleaner and a soft lint free cloth to clean up any evidence of the coffee spill from inside the module. Be extremely gentle so as not to cause any damage to the circuit traces, resistors, or other exposed electrical components (sometimes the cloth can snag on things).
Step 6. Reinstall HVAC module and center console.
Step 7. Stock cup holder is a joke - never again use it for anything other than spare change or not more than two wadded up paper straw covers. Order the beverage holder shown above from any one of the major vendors (Eckler's, Mid America, Corvette Central, etc). I have that same one and drink a mug of coffee on my way to work every single day. No more spills, it works great.
Step 8. Keep enjoying your coffee.
