Exhaust Question
I have 99' A4 81K and a bone stock exhaust. I am about to add mufflers and mandrel bent pipe. My question for you all is: Will an x-pipe bolt directly to my cats or whatever that is that is in front of the x-pipe going towards the engine without any type of modification? Or should I wait until I get LT headers to add an x-pipe? What do shops usually charge to install mufflers and mandrel bent pipe?

The pipes right after the cats have to be cut to the proper length to make the X pipe fit.If you just want to add an after market exhaust and no X pipe ,the new exhaust will fit on with no cutting at all. Dont bother with with an X pipe right now if you are planning to get headers because most long tube headers come with an Xpipe anyway.I hope this helps.
